“Moses, remove the sandals from your feet, for the ground you are standing on is—holy.”

Moses was 80 years old, far from home, on the backside of the desert when he encountered the voice of the Lord in a burning bush. How Moses responded in this moment would not only transform his own life, it would forever alter the course of history.

 

This one, simple act of obedience would be the spark that would come to liberate an entire nation.

It is with this spirit, that the Sandals Off One Year Reading Plan, Bible & Prayer Journal was born. We too, are invited to “turn aside” just as Moses did, as we daily endeavor to meet with God, to recognize and respond to his ever beckoning call.
